Arrest Sunday Igboho For Treason – Miyetti Allah Tells Tinubu

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has urged President Bola Tinubu to arrest Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemi, popularly known as Sunday Igboho for treason.

MACBAN said if Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, could be arrested and prosecuted, then Igboho should suffer the same fate.

National President of the organisation, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, made the call in response to Igboho’s remarks that Fulani herders should be wiped out from the Southwest.

Sunday Igboho, who recently returned to Nigeria after about two years of detention in the Republic of Benin, accused Fulani herders of killing farmers in the Southwest.

His words read:

“I want you all to stand with me so that we can liberate ourselves from the herders encroaching on our lands. Let us mount security in all the Yoruba lands ourselves, if not, they will take our lands.

“We don’t have to wait for the government or anyone. Let’s just work in unison. We cannot farm on our lands because of these herders. And our people are going hungry and angry. We don’t need the soldiers the government claims to have deployed to Ekiti State. We work in accordance with our elders and mount the places ourselves.”

“We call on the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and relevant security agencies to arrest and prosecute Sunday Igboho for making this unlawful statement that amounts to treason because he is asking for the actualisation of Oduduwa nation.

“His statements are unlawful. If Nnamdi Kanu will be held behind bars for a similar offence, we see no reason why Sunday Igboho will be allowed to go scot-free without being arrested and prosecuted.”
