Splashdown in Fukuoka, Japan, from July 14 to 30, 2023, for the thrill-packed 20th World Aquatics Championships! Originally set for 2021, the aquatic extravaganza was pushed to May 2022 due to the ripples caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, making it a long-awaited spectacle!

Fun fact: Fukuoka last played host to the 9th championships back in 2001. Talk about making waves of memories! 

Making a triumphant return to the arena was Roland Schoeman, representing South Africa with his unparalleled skill. But also the Brazilian representing Spain Felipe Perrone. They both made a splash once again. They brought back nostalgic vibes from the 2001 games.

With a whopping 2,392 athletes from 192 squads making waves in various water sports, these championships drew a crowd as big as the ocean itself!

Clash of Titans: Riyadh Hosts World Combat Extravaganza

Get ready to rumble as Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, hosted the epic World Combat Games from October 20-30, 2023! It was a knockout showcase of diverse martial arts and combat sports, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats till the final showdown.

On the last day, spectators were treated to electrifying displays of Kendo, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, and Savate that left jaws dropping and hearts racing.

As the dust settled, a whopping 51 medals, including 12 golds, were up for grabs. Ukraine clinched the top spot on the medal tally with an impressive haul of 53 medals, including 21 golds, closely followed by Saudi Arabia with 51 medals, including 12 golds.
