Super Mario RPG’s Bowser is the First in a Long Line of Comedic Takes on the Villain

Super Mario RPG, like many of Mario’s adventures, manages to include the Koopa King Bowser in its story. However, it may come as a surprise that Bowser is a member of the plumber’s entourage and not the main villain of the first role-playing game in the Super Mario franchise. While he makes up for lost time in the first Paper Mario game, Bowser in Super Mario RPG can be found crying over his taken-over castle and insisting that Mario is one of his minions.
