This spooky Ghost/Poison hybrid was introduced in the original Pokemon Red and Blue as the first step in an evolution chain that haunted Lavender Town’s creepy Pokemon Tower. It evolves into the equally spectral Haunter once it reaches level 25, which in turn becomes Gengar after being traded or exposed to the Linking Cord item.
