Whereas other horror games usually pit players against monsters and creatures of various types at the same time, Phasmophobia allows players to take on the role of ghost hunters. When they visit a particular area, players have no idea which of the game’s many ghosts are haunting their location. The objective of the game is for players to gather evidence that leads to that one Ghost type plaguing their surroundings.
