Now is Time For a One Piece MMORPG
Every now and again, a piece of art from the anime industry generates so much fanfare that it gains interest on an international scale. In the past, anime used to be a pretty niche entertainment genre, but the Japanese culture-based series have expanded behind the performances of the Big Three; Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer‘s seasons also helped push anime’s reach, especially during lockdown, and interest in the category has grown exponentially since. One Piece is riding a wave off the back of one of the most groundbreaking events in its nearly 20-year-long history in the unveiling of Luffy’s highly anticipated Gear 5 and the Netflix live-action series, and the time has never been more perfect for the gaming world to receive a large-scale MMORPG.
