LEGO Fortnite Takes Some Surprising Inspiration From Soulslike Gameplay

LEGO Fortnite has plenty of differences from the main game, but one surprising element unexpectedly draws from the Soulslike gameplay formula. The game has created an impressive new island, complete with its own mechanics that don’t appear in Fortnite‘s main Battle Royale mode. The influence of LEGO is obvious in the core mechanics, emphasizing building to an even greater extent than usual. However, the game taking any mechanics from a Soulslike is a much more unexpected development, albeit not an unwelcome one.
