Assassin’s Creed Supporting Characters Who Should Get Their Own Game
Assassin’s Creed games have typically favored self-contained stories with each entry featuring a new setting and a unique protagonist, with the one exception so far being the Ezio trilogy. This has the advantage of making the series accessible to new players, who can theoretically jump into any game and have a decent idea of what is happening without having to play several other games first. However, Mirage does something a bit different with the series. While it presents a very different setting, it opted to take Basim—a supporting character from Valhalla—and put him front and center. This kind of thing has been done in DLCs, like giving Adéwalé a campaign for Black Flag, but it has never been done as an entire game before now. The choice to make what is otherwise a fairly self-contained game tie back to Valhalla is certainly an interesting one.
