Animal Crossing: New Horizons has found itself yet another cozy companion in 2023 with the Palia Open Beta releasing on August 9. Palia has combined aspects of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Stardew Valley to create a bucolic free-to-play simulator, and the indie game is certainly showing a lot of promise in its early days. Palia can learn a lot from studying Nintendo, but Nintendo could also borrow some quality-of-life aspects from Palia for Animal Crossing, whether in a new game or a New Horizons update.
